           ABOUT THE CFBA

The CFBA was established in 1984 and is an interdenominational group of Christian men whose purpose is to encourage fellowship among Christians; promote a Christian lifestyle through the sport of bass fishing; encourage courteous conduct on and off our waters; promote environmental conservation in attitude and practice; and to sponsor bass fishing contests for it's members and guests.

The CFBA is becoming more Family Friendly by allowing its members to fish any tournament with family members.

10 monthly meetings and 10 tournaments are held each year.  Normally included are tournaments at Toledo Bend, Sam Rayburn and one Guest Tournament. Standings are based on cumulative points through a paired teams basis. A new Top Gun category is also in place for individual results based on total fish weight for fish tallied in each tournament.  An annual banquet is held each January for the purpose of Christian Fellowship, fun and food. trophies and prizes are awarded (including bragging rights, of course) at the annual banquet.

The CFBA meets on the last Tuesday of every month.  We currently meet at First Baptist Church in Lafayette and are always encouraging new membership in the CFBA with men from different denominational backgrounds. If you enjoy Christian Fellowship and Bass Fishing, please contact one of the officers or email us for information.
